Tempo Group Counseling Services in New York seeks a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) for a part-time role to support individuals in recovery. You will provide non-clinical, peer-based guidance, drawing on lived experience to foster hope, engagement, and wellness.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, maintain confidentiality, document services in the EHR, and help clients set recovery goals and access community resources. This paid role offers a meaningful path in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

  • Must hold CRPA credential in NY or provisional with timeframe to obtain full certification.
  • High school diploma or higher.
  • Live recovery experience used professionally in peer support.
  • Knowledge of recovery principles, harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and person-centered supports.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, advocacy, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with clinicians, case managers, and community partners.
  • Commitment to serving diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use EHR systems.
  • Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Provide peer recovery support to participants.
  • Promote hope and self-advocacy using lived experience.
  • Assist participants in identifying recovery goals and resources.
  • Support engagement, appointment attendance, and retention.
  • Help develop wellness and relapse prevention plans.
  • Provide outreach and link to recovery supports.
  • Assist transitions into outpatient care.
  • Participate in team meetings and care coordination.
  • Document client interactions accurately per policy and HIPAA.
  • Maintain professional peer boundaries.
