Job summary

Francis O. Day Co. , Inc. is seeking a Certified Quality Control Plant Technician to join our asphalt production team in Frederick, MD. This full-time seasonal role (March–December) requires 2–3 years of QC/plant operations experience and a valid MD plant certification (MARTCP).

The successful candidate will conduct QC checks, calibrate equipment, keep precise records, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards while collaborating with production staff.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in Quality Control or Plant Operations within asphalt or construction materials required.
• Must hold MD plant certification such as MARTCP.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular quality control checks during asphalt production.
• Monitor and calibrate production equipment for optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate records of test results and production data.
• Assist with troubleshooting production issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure safety and environmental regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to streamline operations.
• Report discrepancies and provide feedback to management for continuous improvement.
