Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking Asphalt Quality Control Technicians for several metro area plants. The role combines lab work 80% with outdoor activities 20%, with travel to multiple sites. Seasonal full-time positions require long hours and potential night/weekend shifts, under IUOE Local 49.

Candidates should have a HS diploma, valid license, and willingness to learn. Base salary range is provided as part of the union agreement; overtime and weather conditions may affect schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license with clean driving record.
• Strong computer and organizational skills.
• Willing to travel to various plant locations on a day-to-day basis.
• Desire for hands-on work in a fast-paced environment.
• MNDOT Aggregate Production Certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• MNDOT Bituminous Plant 1 Certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Sampling and testing of Asphalt mixtures and aggregate products.
• Analyzing test data and recording and reporting results.
• Calibrate, clean, and maintain production tools and testing equipment.
• Ensure materials stay within specification.
• Communicate with production staff and supervisor.
