Job summary

Satterfield Construction Company is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team. The QC Tech tests asphalt mixes, monitors production quality, and ensures materials meet project and state specifications to deliver safe, durable roads.

You will collect samples, maintain QC reports, and collaborate with plant crews and inspectors while adhering to safety standards and wearing PPE. Local, full-time position with opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of asphalt QC/field testing experience preferred.
• Current HMA Level 1 and Asphalt Roadway Technician certifications (or ability to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine lab and field testing of asphalt mixes and materials.
• Monitor plant production and jobsite quality to meet project requirements.
• Collect and review asphalt samples, including on-site coring for density results.
• Maintain accurate QC reports, records, and certifications.
• Work closely with plant crews, inspectors, and supervisors to resolve quality issues.
• Support company safety standards and wear PPE at all times.
