Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Pipe Welder for a position in Kingsport, TN. The Welder lays out, fits, and welds fabricated components to assemble structural forms such as tanks, vessels, and piping according to procedures.

The role is non-exempt and reports to the Foreman, with duties assigned per supervisor guidance. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least four years of welding experience, and the ability to pass a weld test and hold welder certification.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a weld test before being hired.
• Must be certified as a welder.
• Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of policy.
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding operations.
• Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components for welding.
• May weld pipe and structural components using arc, TIG, and other processes.
• May repair products by dismantling, straightening, and reassembling parts.
