Morgan Corp. is seeking a skilled Pipefitter in Kingsport, TN to install, fabricate, align, and test piping systems in industrial facilities. You will read drawings, interpret isometrics and P&IDs, lay out pipe, and work with welders and trades to ensure quality installations that meet project requirements.

Qualifications

• Interpret construction drawings and specifications to guide piping work.
• Must perform precise pipe fit-up and layout to project specs.
• Read isometrics and P&IDs to execute installations correctly.
• Work safely around heavy equipment and hot-work operations.
• Collaborate with welders and other trades to meet requirements.

Responsibilities

• Fit, align, and install piping systems per drawings and project requirements.
• Interpret isometrics, P&IDs, plans and specs for installations.
• Measure, cut, bevel, thread, and prepare pipe for install.
• Rig, position, and set pipe, valves, fittings, and related materials.
• Coordinate with welders to ensure proper fit-up and tolerances.
• Ensure correct elevation, slope, orientation, and flange alignment.
• Install valves, flanges, elbows, tees, reducers, strainers, and components.
• Connect piping to pumps, tanks, turbines, heat exchangers and equipment.
• Prepare systems for testing and identify leaks or deficiencies.
• Operate pipe machines and measuring tools; perform or support hot-work tasks.
• Identify problems and determine corrective actions in the field.
• Adhere to project specs, OSHA requirements, and piping codes.
