Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Phlebotomist and hold a valid California Phlebotomy license (CPT).
• Demonstrated knowledge of scientific terminology and lab regulations.
• Experience in a large healthcare system preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, perform specimen processing, accessioning, phlebotomy, heel and finger sticks.
• Provide customer service, clerical duties, and effective communication with laboratory customers.
• Maintain record keeping, supply inventory, and safety compliance.
• Operate instruments and perform preventative maintenance as appropriate.
