Quest Diagnostics in Hercules, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist I. Responsibilities include collecting specimens, processing tests, and maintaining logs. Requires state phlebotomy license; CA, NV, WA licenses considered.

Monday–Friday with optional Saturday rotation; pay range $24.10–$28.75 per hour and eligible for performance bonus. Benefits start Day 1 for eligible staff. Candidate should have a high school diploma, and phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training (MA/paramedic) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; CA/NV/WA required where applicable.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service in retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify test orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, supplies, sanitation, filing, phones, email.
• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics/data submission when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and training completion timelines.
