Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Larkspur, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist I. Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 4:00, with rotating Saturdays 7:30 to 1:00. A state phlebotomy license is required; NHA licenses are not accepted in CA. The role includes collecting specimens, data entry, and maintaining logs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Verify test orders by using lab technology systems and client contact.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required, following policies.
• Prepare specimens for transport (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones).
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and training records.
