Job Overview

A Pharmacy Solutions Certified Technician III (Fulfillment Technician) is a healthcare professional who plays an integral role in pharmacy operations. Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, this technician assists in the safe distribution of medications, coordinates daily medication and supply orders, manages shipping of patient medications, and provides customer service. They are capable of performing duties of Pharmacy Solutions Certified Technician I and II.

Work Hours

• Full-time, 80 hours bi-weekly
• Days, no weekends or holidays

Sign-on Bonus

$5,000 for external qualified candidates (with a one-year work commitment)

Job Requirements

• High School Degree or GED
• Active National Pharm Tech Certification (CPhT) from approved certifying bodies
• Active registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician
• Knowledge of shipping software, ability to work under pressure, multi-task, meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Strong data entry and communication skills
• 1-2 years experience as Pharmacy Technician
• Experience as Pharmacy Solutions Certified Technician I or II or in Specialty Pharmacy Fulfillment

Job Responsibilities

• Respond professionally to requests via phone, written, or in person, ensuring timely follow-up
• Maintain adequate inventory of pharmaceuticals, shipping supplies, and pharmacy supplies
• Procure medications from wholesalers or manufacturers based on inventory needs
• Procure and package Specialty Pharmacy medications accurately and according to guidelines
• Enter accurate shipping information, track, and schedule deliveries; organize packages for pickup and ensure proper storage conditions
• Coordinate ordering, receiving, storage, and disposal of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Maintain controlled substance inventory, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage documentation
• Monitor and optimize inventory levels, report issues to pharmacy leadership
• Ensure workstations are stocked and clean; process returns and manage expired or damaged merchandise
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in training new staff
