Department: Inpatient Pharmacy

Hours: Full-Time, 7 days on 7 days off

Shift: Third Shift

UC Health is hiring for a full-time Certified Pharmacy Technician for Inpatient Pharmacy at the University of Cincinnati's Medical Center. We offer a $2,000 Sign on Bonus!!

Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. They work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and do not perform duties only legally permissible by registered pharmacists. The Tech I role involves demonstrating initiative and competency in specialized areas of the department.

Responsibilities

• Procure and distribute medications as per requests and policies
• Accurately fill orders, replenish medications, prepare sterile preparations, and deliver medications
• Maintain stock, handle returns, and update the pharmacy computer system
• Answer calls, organize work, maintain logs, and ensure a clean environment
• Conduct medication storage inspections and participate in quality improvement projects
• Meet hospital and department standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current pharmacy technician registration and certification recognized by Ohio State Board of Pharmacy
• No experience required; 1-2 years preferred
• Ability to work accurately, communicate effectively, handle interruptions, and respond to emergencies
