Job summary

Mercy Health in Fairfield, OH seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations, including dispensing medications, inventory control and records maintenance, under the supervision of a Pharmacist. You will provide excellent customer service, ensure accuracy, and comply with regulatory guidelines; prior hospital, retail, or ambulatory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid ExCPT or PTCB certification and registration with State Board required.
• Experience in Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, Acute Care, or Home Infusion Pharmacy preferred.
• Knowledge of pharmacy terminology and aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify prescriptions.
• Review and record patient information with prescriptions.
• Educate patients on how to take medications.
• Support Pharmacist in daily pharmacy operations.
• Adhere to infection-control protocols and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
