Mercy Health – Warren, OH seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in inpatient and outpatient dispensing. You will handle medication orders, labeling, stocking, and non-sterile compounding under state regulations and USP guidelines.

Responsibilities include EMR data entry, insurance processing, and supporting education of new technicians. Eligible candidates have HS diploma and required state certification; hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• ExCPT or PTCB certification and State Board registration required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ASHP/ACPE tech training or equivalent preferred.

Aufgaben

• Assist pharmacist in preparation of medications for inpatient and outpatient services.
• Enter and retrieve information in EMR/prescription systems for billing.
• Prepare labels, stock drugs, and perform non-sterile compounding per USP guidelines.
• Operate drug dispensing robotics and stock cabinets; transport meds to off-site locations.
• Accept verbal refill authorizations in line with state regulations and assist with insurance claims.
• Educate and precept new technicians; participate in performance improvement efforts.
• Outpatient: package and assist with patient payments; inpatient/home infusion: sterile compounding.
