Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist under direct supervision and perform pharmacy department duties per company policy. You will use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions, coach technicians if certified, and ensure a high standard of customer service.

The role includes handling cash register duties, supporting inventory management, and coordinating with the healthcare team to maintain accurate patient and drug information and ensure safe dispensing.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with store inventory control.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems; coach technicians if certified.
• Maintain a distinctive customer experience by greeting and assisting customers.
• Enter patient and drug information accurately; ensure correct dispensing and check for interactions.
• Handle cash register operations and if applicable, assist with third-party claims processing.
• Support inventory management and coordination with healthcare providers.
