Job summary

Oswego Health is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy department. The technician will perform a range of pharmacy-related and clerical tasks under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, including filling medications, stocking orders, preparing IVs, and supporting inventory and billing functions.

Ideal candidates have a NY Pharmacy Technician license, PTCE/ExCPT certification, and at least one year of hospital or health-system experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB/PTCE) or ExCPT required.
• Valid NY Pharmacy Technician license and registration required.
• A minimum of one year of pharmacy technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Fill patient medications and stock orders under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Prepare IV medications and maintain inventory.
• Assist with billing and unit-dose labeling.
• Deliver medications to units and ensure safety of handling.
• Maintain clean, compliant pharmacy work areas per standards.
