Job summary

Onco360 is hiring an Intake/Prescription Setup Pharmacy Technician for our Specialty Pharmacy in Houston, TX. You will create patient profiles, process orders from electronic prescriptions and faxes, and support the pharmacist with timely processing of prescriptions.

We offer a sign-on bonus, starting hourly wages, and benefits. This role may transition to remote after onsite training, with shift times between 8am and 8pm and a strong emphasis on accuracy and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Licensed/registered pharmacy technician as required by state law; national certification preferred.
• Pharmacy/healthcare terminology knowledge including sig codes and drug names.

Responsibilities

• Create patient profiles and process orders from electronic prescriptions and faxes.
• Request prescription refills as appropriate and manage documents from the fax queue.
• Generate prescriptions from orders for pharmacist verification and follow transfers.

Join our team at Onco360 asIntake/Prescription Setup Pharmacy Technician for our Specialty Pharmacy located in Houston, TX. Are you looking for a change working in a great pharmacy environment? Looking for skilled candidates with comfort working in a high volume pharmacy setting.

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 for employees starting before October 31, 2026.

Shift times between 8am and 8pm.

Starting salary from $22.00 an hour and up

This will be a Full-Time position, and you may transition to work remote after onsite training is complete.

Intake Pharmacy Technicians at Onco360...

• Creates patient profiles and processes orders in a timely manner from electronic prescription and fax queues

• Knowledge of medical terminology (including sig codes and Roman numeral), brand and generic names of medications and general pharmacy terminology
• Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when inputting information
• Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
• Basic math and analytical skills
• Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or GED, licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law, Previous Experience in Pharmacy

Experience:

• Required: Pharmacy Technician: 1+ years
• Desired: Pharmacy Technician: 3+ years

Skills/Knowledge:

• Required: Pharmacy or healthcare-related knowledge, knowledge of pharmacy terminology including sig codes, and Roman numerals, brand/generic names of medication, basic math and analytical skills, Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills.
• Desired: Specialty pharmacy experience

License or certification:

• Required:
• Pharmacy Technician State License/Registration (per State Board of Pharmacy)
• Certain States also require National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT via PTCB/NHA)
