Job summary

Luminis Health seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team in preparing, packaging, dispensing and delivering medications within the hospital setting. You will follow state and federal regulations, perform dose calculations, reconciling inventory, and assist in sterile compounding according to USP standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, Maryland registration as a Pharmacy Technician or intern, and preferred experience in hospital or retail pharmacy workflows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy experience in hospital or retail setting preferred.
• Current Maryland Board of Pharmacy registration as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern (in good standing).
• PTCB certification or ExCPT certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs drug distribution, medication preparation, compounding, dose calculations and quality assurance per department procedures.
• Delivers medications to locations via manual delivery, pneumatic tube, or automated dispensing cabinets.
• Maintains storage conditions and regulatory compliance; assists with inspections and controlled substance handling.
• Supports inventory management and hospital information systems; participates in training and orientation of new staff.
