Boston Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I for inpatient services on a part-time basis. The role supports pharmacists by preparing and distributing medications, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate records within the hospital pharmacy.
The outpatient/retail component includes prescription transcription, insurance claim resolution, and communications with providers as needed to assist the pharmacist.
The Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for providing pharmacy services which include, but are not limited to, preparing and distributing pharmaceuticals, performing inventory control and, providing customer service, maintaining pharmacy records, and operating and monitoring pharmacy automated technology systems,. The Pharmacy Technician I works under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist and/or the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to ensure delivery of high quality patient focused pharmacy services. The Outpatient/Retail Pharmacy Technician I (only) performs data entry tasks such as prescription transcription and entry, resolution of insurance claim issues, and contacts providers as appropriate for the pharmacist.
Position: Certified Pharmacy Technician I
Compensation Range: $25.13- $33.82. This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
