Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Previous work experience preferred.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in TN required.
• National certification as a pharmacy technician required.
• Vendor credentialing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Pharmacist in filling prescription orders.
• Prepares medications for dispensing, packaging and shipment.
• Takes inventory, places orders, checks in drugs and supplies.
• Stocks shelves and removes out-of-date items.
• Enters patient data and prescription information in the pharmacy system.
• Communicates with patients, clinics, and physicians professionally.
• Transfers prescriptions between dispensing pharmacies as allowed.
