Medicap Pharmacy LTC in Waterloo, Iowa, is seeking a dependable Pharmacy Technician to join our Order Entry team. You will enter orders accurately to ensure residents receive medications safely and on time within a collaborative care setting.

Qualifications

• Current Pharmacy Technician registration/certification as required by state law.
• Pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter new medication orders into the pharmacy software.
• Process refill requests, medication changes, and new admissions promptly.
• Review orders for completeness and communicate with nurses and providers for clarification.
• Maintain accurate patient medication profiles.
• Prioritize urgent medication orders to support patient care.
• Work collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians, nurses, and staff.
• Follow state/federal regulations and HIPAA requirements.
• Help maintain organized, efficient workflow and a positive environment.
