Job summary

NeighborHealth, a Boston-area community health center, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support medication ordering and delivery in the Retail Pharmacy - Gove department.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, PTCB certification and MA license, and strong teamwork and English communication skills. Spanish language ability is preferred. Schedule: Mon, Tue, Fri 12p-8p; Wed-Thu 8a-4p. Starting at $25.00/hr, up to $38.00/hr.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Current PTCB certification and MA Pharmacy license required.
  • Strong teamwork and communication in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to clinical staff in medication ordering and delivery.
  • Work with team to fulfill prescription orders from start to finish.

Position Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for providing support and assistance to clinical staff in the management of medication ordering and delivery.

Schedule:

Mon, Tues, Fri 12p-8p, Wed and Thursday, 8a-4p. Does require some flexibility.

EDUCATION:

High School graduate or GED required

LICENSURE:

Current valid and unrestricted certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board of the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technician. Current valid and unrestricted pharmacy technician license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy is required.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Ability to work on a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills in English as well as basic reading and math skills. Computer proficiency with an electronic medical record. Commitment to exceptional customer service. Bilingual Spanish Skills high preferred

  • Reads, understands and complies with all Standards of Conduct, JCAHO policies, etc.
