Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician for the Mount Carmel East Inpatient Pharmacy. The technician will assist pharmacists to ensure timely and accurate medications, including sterile and non-sterile compounding, unit dose dispensing, and packaging.

Responsibilities include inventory control, billing support, and using automated systems to dispense medications on patient care units.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Active certification as a Pharmacy Technician (Ohio).
• Experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.
• Effective communication skills.
• Aptitude in mathematical manipulations (ratios, proportions, etc.).
• Ambition to advance pharmacy knowledge and certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist to ensure timely, accurate medication provision.
• Prepare sterile products (including chemotherapy) using aseptic technique.
• Prepare non-sterile products in compliance with standards.
• Repackage bulk medications using Parata systems and robotics.
• Facilitate dispensing via automated cabinets on patient care units.
• Assist with inventory control and billing processes.
• Support proper billing of patients and other units.
