Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician Specialist to assist pharmacists with medication order processing for inpatient and outpatient services. The role focuses on leading specialized activities, sterile and non-sterile compounding, and ensuring accurate inventory and regulatory compliance.

Candidates should have ExCPT certification, a state license, and at least 1 year of pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• ExCPT Certification and state license required.
• 1 year of experience in Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, Acute Care, or Home Infusion pharmacy (required).
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ASHP/ACPE tech training program preferred.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician Specialist ownership of specialized activities a plus.

Responsabilités

• Assist the pharmacist in preparation of medications for inpatients and/or outpatients.
• Perform sterile and/or non-sterile compounding in compliance with USP guidelines.
• Lead specialized technician activities such as Patient Medication History, Medication Assistance, or chemotherapy IV handling.
• Ensure accuracy in inventory, charging, and regulatory compliance.
• Educate and precept new pharmacy technicians and staff.
