Job summary

Drug Crafters Pharmacy in Frisco, TX is seeking a detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our data entry team. This role focuses on accurate prescription entry, patient information, and clear communication to support timely and safe patient care.

You will enter new and refill prescriptions, review orders for completeness, maintain confidential records, and collaborate with pharmacists and staff to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Strong typing accuracy for prescription data entry and patient information.
• Proficient computer skills and pharmacy software navigation.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy of medications, directions, and patient data.
• Professional phone etiquette for communication with patients, clinics, and prescribers.
• Ability to interpret prescription information within technician scope and escalate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into the pharmacy system with patient demographics, prescriber details, drug ingredients, strengths, dosage forms, quantities, directions, days’ supply, and refills.
• Review prescription orders for completeness and identify missing or unclear information requiring pharmacist review or clarifications.
• Maintain patient, prescriber, clinic, shipping, allergy, and billing information with high accuracy and confidentiality.
• Capture formula-specific details for compounded prescriptions and note special handling requirements when applicable.
• Communicate professionally with patients, clinics, prescribers, and internal teams to resolve questions and route clinical issues to the pharmacist.
