Job summary

The Valley Hospital-Paramus is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist with preparation, distribution, and record keeping of pharmaceutical supplies across the department, satellites, and patient care areas.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, 2–3 years of pharmacy technician experience, and registration/certification. We offer comprehensive benefits and a starting salary range of $22.99 to $28.74 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college courses preferred.
• Two to three years pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Must possess or be eligible for pharmacy technician registration; certification required.
• Accurate work with attention to detail and ability to handle interruptions.
• Ability to adapt to changing workloads and schedule; effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in preparation, distribution, and record keeping of pharmaceutical supplies.
• Perform a variety of technical pharmacy services in designated areas and satellites.
• Support care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
