Job summary

The Valley Hospital in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in preparation, distribution, and record keeping of pharmaceutical supplies. The role supports the pharmacist across the department, designated satellites, and patient care areas.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, 2–3 years of pharmacy tech experience, and current registration/certification. Strong attention to detail and communication are essential to serve neonatal through geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college courses preferred.
• Two to three years pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Must possess or be eligible for pharmacy technician registration; certification required.
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately within deadlines.
• Strong communication skills; ability to assist diverse patient care needs.
• Ability to handle interruptions and adapt to workload changes; prioritize tasks; respond quickly to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in pharmaceutical preparation, distribution, and record keeping.
• Perform a variety of technical pharmacy services in designated areas and patient care spaces.
• Support in meeting the pharmaceutical care needs of patients across age groups.
