Valley Health System in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist in preparation, distribution, and record keeping of pharmaceutical supplies across the department, satellites, and patient care areas. The role supports a variety of technical pharmacy services in a fast-paced health-system environment.

Qualified candidates possess a high school diploma (college courses preferred) and pharmacy technician registration or eligibility, with 2–3 years of related experience

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician registration eligibility required or current registration.
• Pharmacy technician certification required.
• Able to perform accurately with attention to detail within set time frames.
• Ability to cooperate with health-system and pharmacy staff.
• Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to workload and schedule.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Support pharmaceutical care for neonatal to geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in preparation, distribution, and record keeping of pharmaceutical supplies.
• Provide technical pharmacy services in the Department, satellites, and patient care areas.
• Support processes for medication preparation and distribution and maintain accurate records.
