Mercy Health’s The Jewish Hospital is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join a multidisciplinary team and support pharmacists in daily operations. The role involves processing prescriptions, maintaining records, and delivering patient care with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Prerequisites include a high school diploma or GED and an ExCPT/PTCB certification with state registration. The position emphasizes customer service, infection control, and collaboration within the pharmacy team.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Valid ExCPT Certification provided by the National Health Career Association or PTCB; registration with State Board of Pharmacy as required.
• Experience in Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, Acute Care, or Home Infusion Pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and verifying the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions.
• Reviewing and recording patient information with their prescription in compliance with guidelines.
• Providing instructions to educate people on the correct way to take their medicine.
• Supporting the Pharmacist in the daily operation of the pharmacy.
• Protecting employees and patients by adhering to infection-control protocols and policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
