Hy-Vee is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in prescription processing, insurance billing, and customer service in a fast-paced retail pharmacy. You will help with medication labeling, inventory, and vaccines where legally allowed, while upholding HIPAA and confidentiality standards.

The role emphasizes accuracy, professionalism, and teamwork as part of Hy-Vee's Pharmacy Department. A licensed technician certification and high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified as a licensed technician through a certified national program required; must maintain continuing education.
• Experience as a pharmacy technician or clerk preferred.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile.
• Accept new prescription orders and refills at the discretion of the supervising pharmacist.
• Gather and maintain accurate patient information required to prepare prescriptions.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing prescription drug products for dispensing.
• Prepare and submit insurance claims and assist with 3rd-party billing.
