Job summary

Hy-Vee Inc. is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in prescription preparation, processing, and customer service in a Minnesota retail setting.

You will handle insurance billing, gather patient information, prepare and label prescriptions, and assist with vaccine administration where permitted by law. A high school diploma and active licensed tech status are required, with ongoing CE credits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified as a licensed pharmacy technician.
• Ongoing education is required to keep license active.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines, as required by law

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers with a smile.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing prescription drug products for dispensing.
• Process prescriptions and insurance billing with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Maintain patient information and comply with HIPAA and privacy rules.
• Stock pharmacy supplies and assist with inventory and labeling duties
