Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions, processing insurance, and delivering excellent customer service.

You will handle prescription processing, labeling, and vaccine administration where allowed, while protecting patient confidentiality. This role requires a high school diploma, active pharmacy technician certification, and ongoing CE credits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified as a licensed pharmacy technician; must maintain continuing education.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or clerk preferred.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines, as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers with a smile.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing prescription drug products for dispensing.
• Accept new prescription orders and refills under pharmacist supervision.
• Prepare and affix labels, and handle insurance billing and claims.
• Maintain patient information for prescriptions and ensure confidentiality under HIPAA.
• Stock pharmacy supplies and assist with inventory and invoices.
• Follow store policies and participate in special projects as needed.
