Job summary

Giant Food in Annapolis is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacist in delivering safe, accurate pharmacy services in a fast-paced retail environment. You will assist with filling and labeling prescriptions, maintaining patient records, and helping with inventory control.

Under supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will promote immunizations and screenings, answer customer questions, process transactions, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while delivering

Qualifications

Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
1–3 years of progressive experience in retail or pharmacy operations preferred.
Oral and written communication skills.
Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Attention to detail.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Must meet minimum age requirements in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Prescriptions: fill, label, and process prescriptions while maintaining accurate patient records and regulatory compliance.
Customer service: answer questions, assist with health screenings, support immunization services, and process transactions.
Inventory and safety: manage ordering, stocking, and organization of medications and supplies, ensuring proper storage and handling.
