Job summary

Kinney Drugs in New York area is seeking a Pharmacy Technician under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. The role includes triaging, processing and delivering prescriptions, aiding in inventory control and handling third-party receivables.

You will learn the pharmacy management system and POS, supporting daily department standards. Preferred AS degree or higher, with hospital or retail pharmacy experience; PTCB certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• AS degree or higher preferred.
• Hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• PTCB or other nationally recognized certification program.
• Knowledge of pharmacy technology, data entry, and adjudication workflow.

Responsibilities

• Assist in triaging, processing and delivery of prescriptions to patients.
• Support inventory management including ordering, receiving and cycle counts.
• Assist in third-party claims submission and resubmission as needed.
• Ensure every prescription is checked by a pharmacist prior to dispensing.
