Job summary

Hannaford is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in preparing prescriptions, filing forms, and assisting customers at the Albany store location. The role requires accuracy, discretion, and strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities include helping with insurance claims, inventory management, and maintaining a clean, efficient pharmacy area. Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; background check and drug testing as required.
• Maintain current PTCB certification and state license as required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong data entry and basic mathematic skills.
• Effective time management and sense of urgency.
• Excellent problem solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task in a stressful environment and work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to learn all aspects of pharmacy operations and related duties.
• Open schedule availability including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt and courteous service.
• Assist pharmacists by counting and labeling prescriptions and pricing.
• Ensure customers receive all prescriptions and file written forms.
• Prepare insurance claim forms as needed.
• Maintain organized filing system and comply with policies and laws.
• Observe confidentiality of customer and company information.
• Assist with inventory and third-party claims resolutions.
• Assist in stocking and maintaining the pharmacy department appearance.
