Job summary

Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking a pharmacy associate to greet customers, assist with prescriptions, and support pharmacists in daily operations at our St. Albans location. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include counting, labeling, filing prescriptions, processing insurance forms, and maintaining accurate inventory while upholding all policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current PTCB certification and state license.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong data entry and basic math skills.
• Effective time management and urgency.
• Teamwork and willingness to learn multiple tasks.
• Open schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Help pharmacists prepare prescriptions by counting or pouring medications, labeling containers, and pricing prescriptions.
• Ensure customers receive all their prescriptions.
• File written prescription forms after prescriptions are dispensed.
• Maintain organized filing system for invoices and claims in accordance with procedures.
• Maintain inventory and assist with controlled substances handling.
• Assist in maintaining the pharmacy area and equipment.
