Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or healthcare setting required.
• 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
• LPT - Licensed Pharmacy Tech in state of employment or PHAR-C - Certified Pharmacy Tech and BCLS - Basic Life Support are required.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacists in preparation, compounding, labeling, and dispensing of medications with accuracy.
• Prepares sterile and non-sterile compounded medications using aseptic techniques per USP guidelines.
• Manages inventory, monitors stock levels, orders supplies, and conducts regular audits.
• Maintains accurate records of dispensing, inventory transactions, and controlled substances.
• Contributes to quality assurance and patient safety initiatives in the pharmacy.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients and staff about medication availability and services.
