Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare in the United States is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the cancer care center.

Under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, you will assist with selection, procurement, storage, preparation, distribution, record keeping, and financial reconciliation of medications dispensed to patients. Hours are M-F, 9am - 2pm (25 hours per week); you will demonstrate AIDET principles and ensure compliance with USP 797/800 guidelines while training new technicians

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Registered with the state where work is performed.
• Nationally Certified (PTCB or NHA) or active Intern license.
• Demonstrated SEH Sterile Compounding competency.

Responsibilities

• Answers calls and directs queries using AIDET process.
• Processes Epic Messages accurately and timely.
• Assists pharmacist in dispensing, labeling, and restocking.
• Performs sterile compounding including chemotherapy and TPN.
• Calculates doses using metric system for sterile products.
• Labels, stores IVs, minimizes IV room waste.
• Preceptor for new pharmacy technicians and trains shifts.
• Ensures timely receipt and delivery of patient medication information.
• Distributes medications, handles ADT, and reconciles records.
• Maintains infection control and safety to improve patient care.
