Job summary

Exeter Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I who will operate under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. The role assists in daily Pharmacy Department tasks, prepares sterile compounds, and ensures compounding accuracy in line with USP 797 standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining competency in the PEC/SEC cleaning, completing education for sterile compounding registration with NH, and training new staff as needed. Flu vaccination is required for employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Registered with the NH Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
• New Hampshire Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) required with PTCB or NHA.
• Sterile compounding experience or 6 months as Pharmacy Tech I required.
• Flu vaccination is required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Competent in all pharmacy roles/shifts within the department and fulfills duties of Pharmacy Technician I.
• Prepares sterile compounds per USP guidelines.
• Maintains sterile compounding competency and completes required CE.
• Maintains IV workflow system accuracy.
