Job summary

Advocate Health in Georgia seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists with preparation, labeling and distribution of medications in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will assist with inventory, sterile and non-sterile compounding where applicable, processing admissions, and ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering patient‑focused service on a day shift (4:00 AM – 2:00 PM) with a 7 on/7 off rotation and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy technician certification within 18 months from start date (CPhT or ExCPT).

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist in preparation and distribution of medications.
• Accurately label and prepare medications, including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist in medication distribution tasks.
• Screen phone calls and route as needed.
• Inventory control and outdate checking.
• Document controlled substances handling as required.
