Job summary

Blount Discount Pharmacy is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician in Maryville, TN to support pharmacists in dispensing medications, entering data, and maintaining accurate records while delivering friendly patient service. The role involves inventory tasks, adherence to safety standards, and assisting with daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School diploma or GED
• Professional, dependable with a positive attitude and good judgment
• Able to work as a team
• Self-motivated with the ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• Willing to perform all essential pharmacy technician tasks
• No current criminal or State Board registration/licensure actions
• Must pass background check and drug test

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient interaction with health and wellness services as allowed by state/federal law
• Deliver excellent customer experience while completing reception, data entry, adjudication and product dispensing accurately
• Lead by example to maintain store standards and seek help as needed
• Assist in inventory management including reconciling orders, returns and physical inventory
• Maintain confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information with care
• Assist the pharmacist with responsibilities not requiring professional judgment
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and report unsafe conditions to management
• Report illegal activity (robbery, theft, fraud) and follow applicable regulations
