Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification is preferred or pursued for promotion.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and in Pharmacy Department duties.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Assist pharmacists with scheduling and workflow as needed.
• Register sales on cash registers and assist customers to OTC aisles.
• Handle calls to physicians and clerical duties related to prescriptions.
• Support inventory management and coordination with pharmacy staff.
