Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist in patient and drug information processing, under supervision. You will enter data in pharmacy systems, help fill prescriptions, verify medicines, and support inventory and cashier operations.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, adherence to the Pharmacy Code of Conduct, and collaboration with the medical team. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment (preferred).
• Prior work experience with Walgreens (preferred).
• Good math skills to count, measure and weigh medications.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Knowledge of store inventory control (preferred).
• PTCB certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy; follow company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow; report prescription errors to pharmacist on duty.
• Handle cash and operate the cash register for related sales.
• Assist with inventory management: ordering, unpacking, checking and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Assist with clinical services coordination and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintain professional relationships with local medical community and customers.
