Job summary

Raleigh Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), part of Acadia Healthcare, seeks a Certified Peer Support Specialist to support patients in recovery from Opioid Use Disorder. This is a full-time position at our Raleigh, NC site.

The role involves engaging patients from first contact, advocating for empowerment, and coordinating with the clinical team and community resources. CPSS certification in NC is required, with semi-annual bonuses and growth opportunities in MAT services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• No prior work experience required, although highly preferred.
• Direct experience in SUD or related practicum preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides peer support to clinically complex patients and guides recovery.
• Engages patients at initial contact and assists in screening for appropriate level of care.
• Acts as advocate and mentor to promote empowerment and engagement.
• Serves as liaison between patients, clinical team, and community resources.
• Updates healthcare team on patient status and documents services.
• Attends trainings and supervision sessions; performs other duties as assigned.
