Job summary

Raleigh Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) in Raleigh, NC, part of Acadia Healthcare's network, is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist to support patients recovering from opioid use disorder within an outpatient MAT program. The role emphasizes bridging patients to services, promoting recovery, and coordinating with the clinical team.

This full-time position features early morning shifts: Mon 5:15 AM–1:45 PM, Tue–Fri 5:15 AM–12:45 PM, and rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• CPSS certification (NCCPSS) required.

Responsibilities

• Provides peer support to patients in recovery from opioid use disorder and guides entry into treatment.
• Engages patients at initial contact to expedite screening for level of care.
• Acts as advocate and mentor to promote empowerment and engagement in recovery.
• Models coping techniques and self-help strategies to support growth and wellness.
• Provides peer support knowledge on MAT including methadone, buprenorphine or extended-release naltrexone.
• Serves as liaison between patients, clinical team, and community resources to meet social needs.
• Assists in housing, daily living skills, and connecting with primary care.
• Supports linkage with employers to help obtain and maintain employment.
• Documents services and patient status; attends trainings and supervision; performs other duties.
