Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a Certified Peer Support Specialist to join the ACT Team, using your lived experience to support individuals with mental health and substance use challenges in the community. You will engage clients, help with treatment planning, document care plans, and coordinate with care teams and referral sources.

Qualifications

• CPSS certification required (North Carolina).
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support using lived experience as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Build trusting relationships with clients and support their recovery goals.
• Assist with treatment planning and ongoing client engagement.
• Maintain accurate client records, including documentation and care plans.
• Communicate regularly with referral sources and care team members.
• Help clients access community resources, including transportation coordination.
• Facilitate weekly psychoeducational and support groups.
• Participate in team meetings and document daily staffing updates.
• Respond to crisis situations as needed, including emergency interventions.
• Perform additional duties to support team and client success.
