Job summary

Wellbrook Recovery in Wisconsin is seeking a compassionate Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) to support individuals in detox, residential, and outpatient treatment settings. Lived recovery experience is highly valued and you will mentor clients, share your story appropriately, and help sustain motivation.

You will facilitate peer support groups, assist with goal setting and coping skills, encourage engagement in treatment, and coordinate with therapists and staff while upholding confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin CPS certification required.
• Personal recovery experience preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health or peer support preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer/documentation skills.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support services and recovery mentorship to clients
• Share lived experience appropriately to inspire hope and motivation
• Facilitate peer support groups and recovery-focused activities
• Assist clients with goal setting, coping skills, and wellness planning
• Encourage participation in treatment, meetings, and recovery programming
• Support clients with community resources and reintegration planning
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times
• Complete documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Work collaboratively with therapists, nursing staff, case managers, and the treatment team
• Help create a positive, safe, and recovery-oriented environment

Join Our Growing Recovery Team

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) to support individuals recovering from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders in a Detox, Residential, and Outpatient treatment setting.

The ideal candidate has lived recovery experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping others build meaningful and lasting recovery. This position plays an important role in providing peer support, encouragement, advocacy, and mentorship throughout the treatment process.
