Job summary

The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Worker in Stamford for a part‑time role (32 hours/week, first shift, 8:00am–4:30pm). Ideal candidates will have lived recovery experience and hold the CPSRP credential.

Work within the Recovery Support unit to help clients achieve recovery goals, connect with employment and education opportunities, and engage with community supports in a collaborative, growth‑oriented

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in mental health or substance use recovery.
• Six months experience as CPSRP trainee may be substituted for general experience.
• Preferred CPSRP credential or demonstrated lived recovery experience.

Responsibilities

• Guides clients through defining personal recovery goals and plans.
• Supports clients in pursuing employment, education, and community involvement.
• Provides information and support to enhance client wellness and community networks.
• Maintains accurate client notes and assists with referrals as needed.
