Job summary

Pathways to Life, Inc. is hiring Certified Peer Support Specialists to provide community-based recovery services for adults living with mental health and/or substance use disorders in Greenville and surrounding counties.

You will use your lived experience to help members build independence, strengthen connections, and work toward personal recovery goals, under supervision of a Qualified Professional. Evening/weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Current NC Certified Peer Support Specialist certification.
• Lived experience in recovery from mental health or SUD.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid NC driver's license.
• Reliable transportation with insurance.
• Ability to travel throughout the service area.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one peer mentoring and recovery coaching.
• Facilitate recovery groups focusing on wellness and skills.
• Connect members with housing, employment, education, healthcare, and other resources.
• Document accurately in the electronic health record.
• Communicate progress with the treatment team.
• Recognize crises and follow emergency procedures.
