Job summary

Amity Foundation seeks compassionate individuals to join our Prison Projects as Cal MHSA Certified Peer Navigators. This role involves teaching, learning, and supporting life skills for participants in our prison and re-entry programs.

You will deliver CBI Life Skills and Family Relations programming, document progress, and collaborate with CDCR and contracted staff to enhance community impact.

Qualifications

• Must be a Cal MHSA Certified Peer Navigator to be hired.
• Certification number on resume prioritized.
• Scheduled date for Cal MHSA Test on resume if not certified yet.
• Without Cal MHSA Certification, application will be disqualified.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Life Skills and Family Relations classes using approved curriculum.
• Conduct classes and individual sessions to develop action plans or provide make-up work.
• Evaluate and document participant progress.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce class norms.
• Document delivery of programming services in ARMS.
• Collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS HQ, local institutions and staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
