Job summary

Alamo Colleges District in San Antonio, TX seeks a Certified Peer Advisor – Student Success for undergraduate advising. This part-time, hourly position provides assistance and encouragement to students and supports staff in various student services areas.

Typical hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with some evenings or Saturdays; 19 hours per week; funding is hard money; not eligible for benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in at least six credit hours at one of the ACD colleges or another accredited institution after attending or graduating from an ACD college.
• Must complete badges related to this position as determined by the Alamo Colleges.
• Must complete Peer Advisor Certification training, as assigned, within the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assists Student Success staff in a variety of student services areas.
• Provides assistance and encouragement to all students.
• Refers students to appropriate college service area when necessary.
